The Digital Fast

The opportunity to take a radical step in minimizing our digital usage to free up time and bandwidth for a more meaningful connection with the Lord, our family, and others. 

Options

Full Digital Fast

  • Make your smartphone dumb.  Remove anything from your phone that you can do on your computer or laptop

  • Think about your apps in terms of “distraction vs. utility”
    (Ex. Social media, email, news, games, videos, shopping)

  • Eliminate all other screens for personal use and enjoyment

  • Limit digital technology to work apps during work hours.  Commit to no work outside of work hours (if possible)

Modified Digital Fast

  • Make your smartphone dumb.  Remove anything from your phone that you can do on your computer or laptop

  • Fast from other entertainment through digital technology for a specific number of days during the week

  • Limit digital technology to work apps during work hours.  Commit to no work outside of work hours (if possible)

Awaken Houston

A city-wide movement to unify the church to pray and fast for personal renewal, revival in our churches, and an awakening throughout Greater Houston.  One of the BHAGs (Big Hair Audacious Prayers) of the initiative is to see 1000 salvations and baptisms from participating churches.

Option

  • A 40 Day Journey that begins on Wednesday, March 5, 2025 and concludes on Monday, April 14, leading up to Easter Sunday (April 20, 2025).

  • Includes daily devotional material & a prayer focus
